HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The delay in completing a number of real estate projects in new Zenata has sparked a wave of widespread dissatisfaction among customers who have purchased apartments and residential studios in the modern complexes located between Casablanca and Mohammedia.
After more than ten years since the start of construction, the pace of completion is still slow, which has disrupted the calculations of many families who were hoping to receive the keys to their homes within reasonable deadlines. Several of the affected individuals confirmed that the ongoing delay has burdened them with additional financial burdens, whether due to their continued payment of rent or loan installments without the actual benefit of housing. Some of them also expressed their fear of the lack of clear communication from the companies in charge of implementing the projects, demanding precise clarifications regarding the real-time schedule for the completion of construction and the delivery of apartments. In contrast, some companies justify this delay by the economic crisis and the state of stagnation that the real estate sector is experiencing, in addition to the rise in construction material costs and the decline in the pace of sales. However, customers believe that these justifications do not exempt real estate developers from adhering to their contractual commitments, calling on the competent authorities to intervene in order to protect their rights and ensure respect for the deadlines. *Image from the archive*
