In an initiative that was met with approval in the eastern region and within the framework of presenting and encouraging exporting Moroccan companies, the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade, Omar Hejira, today, Saturday, the 3rd of Ramadan, in the city of Ouyoun Chergui, which is territorially affiliated to the Taourirt province, made a field visit to the "Yahya Bio-Oil" cooperative farm in the Tanarfai community.
This visit represents a new stop in the "My Country's Exports" tour series, through which Omar Hejira introduces the export capabilities of all types of companies. Today's visit is very important because it concerns the experience of marketing products of the social and solidarity economy, one of the pillars of the 2025-2027 foreign trade program. This visit is also an opportunity to present pioneering experiences in the field of exporting cooperatives and very small companies to global markets and participating in international exhibitions. On this occasion, the Secretary of State visited the farm and all the facilities of this production unit and the production lines of various oils, manufactured aromatic products, and spices according to international standards. He also learned about the various stages of the development of this experience since its inception as an idea until the "Yahya" cooperative had a special farm and a number of points of sale in the eastern region, the most important of which is in the city of Ouyoun Chergui and points of sale at the national level, and exports its products to European and Gulf countries. The exports of this family cooperative, which won the gold medal in the "amlo" product, are directed towards diversifying its products to include aromatic and medicinal herbs, spices, and vegetable oils used in cosmetics, and the sales of this cooperative have been growing annually by about 20% since 2021.
