HIBAPRESS – Follow-up
Pakistan announced that it launched airstrikes targeting militant hideouts along the border with Afghanistan, in an operation it described as "selective and based on accurate intelligence" against Taliban camps.
Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar wrote on the "X" platform that the army carried out operations against seven militant camps, and also targeted a group affiliated with the "ISIS" organization in the border area. Islamabad did not provide any precise details about the targeted areas or the results of the strikes. These airstrikes come after months of similar strikes launched by Pakistan deep inside Afghan territory last October, targeting militant hideouts. No immediate comment was issued by the Afghan authorities on the new operation.
