The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force announced on Sunday that air defence systems have been able to intercept and destroy 145 missiles and 246 drones targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain since the start of Iranian attacks.
The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force confirmed that it is proud of the advanced combat readiness and high vigilance demonstrated by its men, and is proud of this continuous operational efficiency to protect the Kingdom, "as the honourable performance displayed by these men instills reassurance and firm confidence that the Kingdom's airspace is protected". The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force appealed to everyone to adhere to the utmost caution and care for their safety, to stay completely away from damaged sites, and from any suspicious objects, not to film military operations, to avoid filming the sites of falling debris, not to spread rumours, and to be keen on obtaining information from official sources, with the importance of following official and governmental media to obtain information, alerts and warnings. The General Command indicates that the use of ballistic missiles and drones to target civilian objects and private property is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter, and that these heinous and indiscriminate attacks pose a direct threat to regional peace and security.
