Egyptian player Moatassem Zakaria of the Mansoura Workers Club died in a tragic car accident while participating in the distribution of Iftar meals to those fasting in the Dakahlia governorate.
According to local media reports, the young player was hit by a car on a road minutes before the Maghrib prayer call, while distributing dates and Iftar meals to travelers and passersby. The Egyptian Football Association mourned the player in an official statement via its Facebook page, where the president of the federation, Engineer Hani Abu Reeda, members of the board of directors, employees of the federation, and the Dakahlia branch extended their sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, confirming their deep sorrow at the departure of a young player born in 2011, who was one of the elements of the youth team in the Mansoura Workers Club.
