HIBAPRESS – A. Mahyawi
The director of the Regional Academy for Education and Training of the Fez-Meknes region recently gave the official launch of the construction works of the "Tariq Bin Ziyad" school in the L'سكينة district, belonging to the Zouagha district of Fez, within the framework of efforts to expand the educational offer and reduce the phenomenon of overcrowding during the 2026 and 2027 academic years.
This educational project comes within the context of implementing the regional program to develop the educational infrastructure, in line with the directions of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, as defined by the 2022-2026 roadmap, which makes improving the quality of education and bringing educational institutions closer to the population a basic lever for reform.
According to the available data, the project includes the construction of 16 classrooms dedicated to primary education, in addition to 6 units for preschool education, in the context of supporting the generalization of this cycle and improving its quality. The institution will also include a school library, and a multimedia room to strengthen digital learning, in addition to a sports field aimed at developing physical activities for learners.
These facilities are expected to contribute to providing a suitable educational environment that meets the adopted standards, and supports the diversification of learning methods within the institution.
Those in charge of this educational workshop are betting on improving the conditions of schooling in the region, especially in light of the demographic pressure that the neighborhoods of the Zouagha district are experiencing, by reducing overcrowding within the classrooms and bringing the school closer to families.
This project is expected to constitute a qualitative addition to the local educational system, which enhances the principles of spatial equity and equal opportunities, and contributes to improving the quality of learning in the primary and preschool education stages.
This new educational project aims to alleviate overcrowding and bring the school closer to learners.
