Growing feelings of resentment and anger are increasing among the residents of Nador due to the deterioration of the field situation of the reforms promised by the Nador commune, where it was expected that the city would witness major improvements in infrastructure, but the reality was disappointing.
The holes that were opened in various neighborhoods, including the airport district and the city center, were not properly closed, which made them a great danger to the safety of citizens and vehicles. The problems were not limited to the open holes only, but the matter reached the point that the soil that was returned after the works quickly disappeared due to rainfall, which left the holes deep and exposed. This negligence in the repair operations and the delay in their implementation reflects the absence of serious supervision by the officials in the Nador commune, who were expected to take quick and effective measures to remedy the situation before it worsened. Popular neighborhoods such as Laari Sheikh, Hay Oulad Mimoun… suffer more than others from these faltering reforms, as citizens in these neighborhoods find themselves forced to pay additional costs to repair their vehicles due to the holes that have turned into mines on the roads. The wheels that are constantly damaged, in addition to wasting time in transit through unsuitable roads, have become part of the daily suffering of citizens in these areas. No one can deny that these reforms were supposed to be an opportunity to improve the quality of life in Nador, but the Nador commune failed to provide appropriate solutions in a timely manner. Citizens have been greatly harmed by the neglect in following up on the work, which makes them wonder about the reason behind this delay in addressing the situation. Does the Nador commune prefer to postpone the solutions until after the elections, or will it move now to save what can be saved? It is the duty of the Nador commune to take responsibility and put a urgent solution to this crisis that has become a threat to the daily life of the population. The continuation of this situation will be a resounding failure for the officials in the city, who must prioritize the interest of citizens before any other considerations.
