HIBAPRESS – Fikri Ould Ali
Taxi professionals of the first category, working on the Ait Youssef Ou Ali (Boukidan) line, are facing ongoing difficulties in practicing their activity, in light of what they describe as a disregard for their demands related to improving working conditions, especially at the level of the regional hospital Mohammed VI in Al Hoceima.
According to statements from a number of drivers, the taxi that ensures the connection between the Ait Youssef Ou Ali commune and the city of Al Hoceima, passing through the regional hospital, does not have a dedicated and clear stopping point in front of the health institution, which leads to confusion in organizing passengers and contributes to creating a kind of chaos, especially during peak periods.
The professionals also complain about the absence of the simplest necessary equipment, such as umbrellas to protect from sunlight and weather fluctuations, as well as the failure to provide seats for patients and their companions while waiting, knowing that a large part of the users of this line are from vulnerable groups or those coming to the hospital for treatment.
The affected people believe that responding to these demands does not require large financial allocations, but rather requires organizational intervention from the relevant authorities to redevelop the space and regulate the movement of transportation in a way that guarantees the dignity of the users and improves the working conditions of the drivers.
In light of the continuation of the situation as it is, the voices of the professionals are rising, demanding to find practical and urgent solutions that end the existing state of confusion and reorganize this vital facility in a way that is consistent with the importance of the health institution and its role within the region.
