HIBAPRESS
The eyes are turning towards the city of Marrakech, which is preparing to host the second edition of the strategic initiative "Ça va Connecter – Let’s Connect Africa", from April 7 to 9, 2026, within the activities of the international technology exhibition "GITEX Africa". This year's edition comes under the slogan "When Business Becomes a Bridge Between Continents", to consolidate Morocco's role as a global digital hub connecting Africa with Europe and North America.
This edition receives key support from the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform, reflecting the national priority that the Kingdom of Morocco places on building a comprehensive and sustainable digital system. The initiative aligns with the vision of the minister, Amal Sagrouchni, which aims to enhance African digital sovereignty and create tangible economic opportunities for young people and startups.
Unlike traditional forums, "Let’s Connect Africa" adopts an operational model that focuses on results. After the success of the 2025 edition, which was crowned with 22 agreements and memorandums of understanding and more than 140 bilateral business meetings (B2B), the 2026 edition raises expectations by turning meetings into structured commercial and investment alliances between actors from Africa, Europe, and Canada.
The work strategy for this year is based on three main priorities: First, creating real and measurable business opportunities; Second, activating international strategic partnerships that transcend geographical boundaries, and third, enhancing the connection between digital systems to support the technological sovereignty of the continent.
The strategic "studio" located at the entrance to the exhibition will be transformed into an economic "operations room", where the focus will be on three vital files distributed over the days of the exhibition:
Day One: Infrastructure and data centers (cloud sovereignty and continental connectivity).
Day Two: Cybersecurity and the Internet of Things (digital resilience and data protection).
Day Three: Artificial intelligence and startups (innovation, inclusivity, and women's leadership).
The initiative brings together a wide international system that includes strategic partners such as Maroc Entrepreneurs, Startup Grow Foundation, and Printemps Numérique, in addition to media and technical actors from Canada, France, and Africa. This international attention confirms the Kingdom of Morocco's position as an indispensable logistical and digital platform for international companies wishing to access African markets, and for African companies aspiring to globalize.
In a world that is becoming increasingly complex, the "Let’s Connect Africa" initiative chooses the path of practical cooperation, offering a model to be emulated in how to transform digital ambitions into an economic reality that benefits the Dark Continent and its international partners.
