HIBAPRESS – Ahmed Al-Musaed
On Friday, February 27th, the establishment of the "Moroccan Center for Media and Communication Studies and Digital Production" took place at the headquarters of the associative network in the city of Oujda. This center comes as an innovative academic and strategic framework aimed at bridging the gap between academic theories and professional practice in the media field, with a focus on investing scientific research in digital advocacy and advanced professional production.
In an atmosphere of serious scientific discussion, the founding general assembly elected university professor Hicham Kazout as the president of the center. The meeting was attended by a prominent group of professors from Mohammed I University, along with a group of professional journalists and doctoral students, who are expected to form the scientific, proposing, and vital dynamic force of this project.
The center's strategic vision is based on four integrated pillars that form a roadmap for its future work:
The International Journal of Media and Communication Studies: to be a reference platform for scientific arbitration and the valorization of sound research.
The Innovation and Digital Production Laboratory: a space dedicated to experimentation and the development of content and the creation of smart media solutions that keep pace with the artificial intelligence boom.
The Digital Advocacy Observatory: a specialized mechanism for monitoring and analysis, aimed at building a strategic communication discourse that defends national issues and the geostrategic projects of the Kingdom.
The Office of Strategic and Foresight Studies: concerned with producing future reports and formulating scientific visions that support decision-makers in the media and communication fields.
In his first statement, Hicham Kazout confirmed that this project "believes in cognitive integration and participatory work," stressing its openness to all directions and experiences. Through this dynamic, the center seeks to establish a leading Moroccan model in media studies, combining research originality and a prospective horizon that serves the supreme interests of the Kingdom in the global digital space.
