The Consulate General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Murcia organized a communication meeting on the updates of the exceptional settlement of the situations of Moroccan immigrants in Spain, under the supervision of Sanaa Marrouh, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Murcia, within the framework of following up on the issues of the Moroccan community residing there.
The meeting was attended by a number of lawyers and specialists in immigration law, where a detailed presentation was given on the legal framework for the expected process, the conditions that must be met to benefit from it, in addition to the required administrative procedures, while reviewing some of the potential challenges that may face the beneficiaries' files. The importance of completing the documents and adhering to the official procedures to avoid any delay or rejection was also emphasized. The meeting witnessed a great interaction from the participants, as questions were raised about the duration of stay, employment contracts, and the settlement of family situations, in addition to the impact of this process on the professional and social stability of the Moroccan community. The Consul General emphasized the importance of relying on official sources to obtain accurate information and avoiding being led by unconfirmed news, stressing that any practical action will be linked to the official announcement from the Spanish authorities regarding the details and conditions of the final settlement. This meeting comes within the communicative approach adopted by the consulate with the aim of bringing legal information closer to the members of the community and enhancing their support in their administrative and social issues, which contributes to their integration into Spanish society while respecting the laws in force. The participants praised this initiative, considering it an important step towards clarifying the vision regarding the prospects of settling their legal situations, pending the issuance of official updates related to this process.
