As part of the plan to strengthen its network and in preparation for the summer season, Royal Air Maroc is launching, from June 22, 2024, airline routes between its Casablanca hub and Naples, Manchester and Abuja. Thus, the company will resume its direct flights to Naples (Italy) from June 22, with two frequencies per week (Monday and Saturday). The Casablanca-Naples flight will depart from Casablanca Mohammed V International Airport at 4:15 p.m. for an arrival at 8:30 p.m. (local time). The Naples-Casablanca flight will be scheduled at 9:30 p.m. for an arrival in Casablanca at 11:50 p.m. (local time).

On June 23, Royal Air Maroc will launch a new air route linking Casablanca to Manchester (England) with three frequencies per week (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday). Departure from Casablanca will be at 1:45 p.m. for arrival in the English city at 5:20 p.m. (local time). The return is scheduled for 6:20 p.m. for an arrival in Casablanca estimated at 9:45 p.m. (local time).

The same day, the company will strengthen its network in Africa with a new service to Abuja, capital of Nigeria. This new direct line will be operated at three frequencies per week (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday). Departure from Casablanca will be at 1:15 a.m. for arrival at Abuja International Airport at 6:10 a.m. (local time). Departure from Abuja will be scheduled from 7:10 a.m. for an arrival in Casablanca at 11:55 a.m. (local time).

“The launch of these three new routes is part of our development plan aimed at opening air routes in several promising markets. It is also a question of meeting the strong demand in certain countries where a strong Moroccan community is established. The launch of these lines also aims to strengthen our continental positioning in favor of the African Diaspora, particularly in Nigeria. Finally, the objective of opening these lines is to make air travel a lever for promoting Morocco’s tourist destination,” underlines Mr. Hamid ADDOU, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc.

Through the opening of these new lines, the national company reaffirms its ambitions to strengthen its positions in strategic markets, in line with its development strategy. The direct Casablanca-Naples line will strengthen the company’s offer in Italy, allowing smooth travel for Moroccans established in this country as well as Italian tourists. Royal Air Maroc will thus offer 6 direct connections and 43 frequencies (86 flights in both directions) per week connecting the two countries. In addition to Naples, Casablanca is directly connected to Rome, Milan, Bologna, Turin and Venice.

As for the connection between Casablanca-Abuja, it will help to strengthen the presence of Royal Air Maroc in Nigeria where it offers a daily air route linking Casablanca to Lagos. It will allow the Company’s African network to expand to reach 27 African destinations served from its Casablanca Hub. Royal Air Maroc thus positions itself among the major players in air transport in Africa.

Finally, by inaugurating the Casablanca-Manchester line, Royal Air Maroc is strengthening its air connections to the British market, supporting Morocco’s tourism strategy which aims to double the number of British tourists by 2028.
