The police officers of the Special Commission for Security at the Tangier Marina recreational port managed, on Saturday, March 7th, to arrest six people and thwart two international drug smuggling operations after seizing a total of 503 kilograms of hashish aboard recreational boats docked at the Tangier Marina quays.
The first operation resulted in the arrest of four people aboard a recreational boat, on suspicion of their involvement in the possession and smuggling of a shipment of drugs, where the search operation, which included a group of prepared hiding places on board this boat, resulted in the seizure of 327 kilograms of hashish. In another operation, the search operation carried out aboard another recreational boat that was docked at the Tangier Marina port resulted in the seizure of 176 kilograms of hashish, in addition to the arrest of two people, including the owner of this boat, on suspicion of their involvement in drug smuggling. The detainees were subjected to judicial investigation procedures entrusted to the Tangier Judicial Police Department under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, in order to determine all the circumstances surrounding this case, as well as to determine its national and international extensions.
