Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, the spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense, confirmed that the armed forces of Kuwait detected a hostile drone during the past twenty-four hours. It was dealt with immediately after entering the national airspace, where air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed it without any losses.
Al-Atwan explained, during a media briefing dedicated to reviewing the latest field developments in light of the Iranian aggression, that Kuwaiti air defense systems continue intensive monitoring and surveillance operations, within the framework of precautionary measures aimed at protecting the country's airspace from any potential missile or aerial threats. The military official indicated that the hostile drone was dealt with in full coordination between various units, where the National Guard undertook the task of destruction, in a model that reflects the level of integration and cooperation between the military apparatuses, confirming that the operation was carried out without material or human damage. This development comes in the context of ongoing regional escalation, where Iran continues to launch missiles and drones towards a number of Arab countries, which has sparked widespread condemnations and repeated calls to stop these attacks, in order to preserve the security and stability of the region.
