HIBAPRESS – Taza
The situation of the rural clinic in the Ait Rbaa commune, which belongs to the Tainast district in the Taza region, has sparked a wave of resentment among a number of the region's residents, after data and images circulated showing the use of its space in activities far removed from the purpose for which it was established.
According to consistent statements from some of the residents, the health facility, which is supposed to provide essential medical services to the residents of the neighboring villages, has begun to witness unusual practices, including using its facilities to wash cars and clean some personal belongings, in a scene that observers considered far from the nature of a public health institution. This comes at a time when residents are complaining about the deteriorating situation of the clinic in terms of infrastructure and equipment, in addition to the limited health services provided, which increases the intensity of questions about the conditions of managing this public facility and how to maintain it. This incident raises several questions among local actors about the party responsible for managing and supervising the clinic, as well as about the nature of the procedures adopted to protect health facilities and ensure their use within their natural framework. A number of the region's residents are demanding that the competent authorities open an investigation into the matter, in order to determine responsibilities and take the necessary measures to preserve this public facility, and to ensure the provision of decent health services for the benefit of the local population.
