HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The city of Daroua, which has a population exceeding 100,000, is experiencing a situation that raises many questions due to the absence of a civil protection center, despite its strategic location near Mohammed V International Airport and close to road axes connecting Casablanca, Mediouna, Berrechid, and Nouaceur.
Local affairs observers confirm that the absence of this vital facility poses a real problem regarding the speed of intervention in cases of accidents or fires, as the competent authorities are forced to rely on civil protection centers located in neighboring cities, which may lengthen the response time in some emergency cases.
A previous council of the Daroua community had allocated a real estate plot for the construction of a civil protection center in the city, but the project has not seen the light of day to this day, which has prompted local activists to demand the acceleration of bringing this facility into existence, given the demographic and urban growth that the region has witnessed in recent years.
