HIBAPRESS – Mohammed Daher
It has come to the attention of HIBAPRESS from informed sources that irregularities related to the monitoring of urban planning have resulted in the removal of the leader of the Agouatim command, along with two authority officers, after a decision was made to relieve them of their duties by a decision issued by the Ministry of Interior. This decision was made following reports that documented the spread of several cases of illegal construction within the territorial jurisdiction of the command.
According to the same sources, the decision came after a field visit by an inspection committee from the Marrakech-Safi region's governorate that visited the area recently, where they found a number of violations related to urban planning, including the construction of buildings without obtaining the necessary legal permits, as well as recording violations in the monitoring of construction sites. The same sources confirmed that the supervisory reports submitted to the competent authorities recorded indications of shortcomings in following up on urban planning violations and failing to take the necessary legal measures in a timely manner, which hastened the decision to relieve the officials concerned. The impact of the governor of the Marrakech-Safi region, Al Khatib Lahbil, was clear and significant in addressing many files, especially those related to urban planning, without overlooking the city's preparations and expansion of the road network. The governor of the region is also working to bring many projects into existence and push the wheel of development in the governorate, relying on a distinctive action plan, which had a strong impact on the Red City and the region as a whole.
