The Public Prosecution has intervened in the file of a public lighting deal in the municipality of Had Soualem, Rehamna Province, which is estimated to be worth approximately 1.3 billion centimes, following data raised by an official report on the management of this deal.
According to local data, the move on this file came after a report prepared by a committee of the General Inspectorate of Territorial Administration, after a field visit to the municipality, where a number of observations and violations were noted, which hastened the opening of a judicial investigation into the matter. Suspicions revolve around the possible involvement of a local official in this deal, pending the outcome of the ongoing investigations under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, to determine responsibilities and arrange the necessary legal penalties in the event of any irregularities or violations.
