The anti-gang squad of the regional judicial police department of the regional security of the city of Dakhla, on the night of Tuesday, March 17, was able to arrest two individuals, aged 34 and 38 years, on suspicion of their involvement in the possession and trafficking of hashish, cannabis, and narcotic medical tablets.
The first suspect was arrested in the Al-Gharbiliyat neighborhood in the city of Dakhla in possession of a quantity of hashish, before investigations led to the identification and arrest of his drug supplier. The seizure and search operation carried out in this case resulted in the seizure of 61 and a half slabs and a group of hashish pieces, the total weight of which reached five and a half kilograms, in addition to three kilograms of cannabis, as well as 260 narcotic medical tablets of the Rivotril type, in addition to an amount of money suspected of being from the proceeds of this criminal activity.
A judicial investigation was opened with the detainees under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office after they were placed in custody, in order to reveal the criminal acts attributed to each of them, as well as to reach all the possible extensions of this criminal activity.
