Iranian state television announced on Friday the killing of the spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Ali Muhammad Naeini.
Iranian television said that the spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard and his deputy for public relations, Ali Muhammad Naeini, was killed in airstrikes launched by the United States and Israel, according to Reuters. France-Presse said that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, for its part, announced the killing of its spokesperson in Israeli-American strikes. A statement by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on its website, "Sepah News", stated that Naeini "rose as a martyr during the heinous criminal terrorist attack committed by the Zionist-American camp at dawn." The news of his death came minutes after statements he made, in which he confirmed the continued production of missiles despite the escalation of the conflict, in response to statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who indicated that Iran no longer had the ability to manufacture missiles.
