The body of a police officer from the city of Settat was buried this evening, Saturday, amid a security presence and the large attendance of the deceased's family and relatives, coming from the forensic medicine department in Casablanca, where it was subjected to medical dissection in its three dimensions.
The Public Prosecution at the Settat Court of Appeal had decided this morning to refer his body, which was in the morgue at Hassan II Hospital in Settat, to the forensic medicine department in Casablanca to subject it to triple dissection.
HIBAPRESS had received a statement issued by the Settat security directorate, in which it stated that the provincial department of judicial police in the Settat security directorate had opened a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, on the evening of last Friday, March 20th, to determine the circumstances surrounding the death of a police officer inside a private apartment, as well as to verify the causes of death and the extent of its connection to a criminal background.
According to the initial information of the investigation, the body of the police officer was found outside his working hours, inside a rented apartment based on a notification from a woman who was with him, where traces of physical injury were observed on him, the nature and circumstances of which are being investigated.
For the necessity of the judicial investigation ordered by the Public Prosecution, the 20-year-old woman was kept under custody, to reveal the nature of her relationship and connection to this case, while the body of the deceased police officer was deposited in the hospital pending medical dissection, to determine the real causes of death.
