HIBAPRESS – Follow-up
In implementation of the high instructions of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aimed at implementing the program of restructuring the national herd, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests announced the launch of the process of monitoring the retention of ewe and goat females designated for breeding, starting Tuesday, March 24, 2026, throughout the national territory.
A statement from the ministry explained that these females were counted during the period from June 26 to August 11, 2025, and were numbered by placing rings. The same source added that this process will be carried out in close coordination between the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, through the competent local committees that have been mobilized for this purpose at the level of all prefectures and provinces of the Kingdom, based on the data of the national herd census and the numbering process. Upon verifying the retention of the females that were counted and numbered by placing rings, the second tranche of support will be disbursed as soon as possible, in a way that ensures the goals of the program, using the same payment methods that were used in disbursing the first tranche. With the payment of this second tranche of support, the implementation of the program and the related support process will be completed. The ministry called on all concerned farmers and livestock breeders to fully engage and fully mobilize in order to make this process a success.
