The Regional Committee for Human Development held its first meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, under the chairmanship of the Governor of the Nador region, in the presence of all committee members.
During this meeting, the new strategic orientations for the implementation of the National Initiative for Human Development programs were defined, and a number of new projects and organizational updates related to this initiative were presented. A set of projects that will be implemented by the National Initiative for Human Development was presented, which are divided into three main categories: projects related to infrastructure and basic services, projects accompanying people in vulnerable situations, and programs to promote human development for the younger generations. Fourteen projects were approved, with a total financial cost of approximately 25.6 million dirhams, benefiting about 28,848 beneficiaries. The meeting also included a study of the content of the presented projects and the needs of the target population, in addition to emphasizing the great efforts made by the committee members to study and implement these projects in the targeted areas and groups. The projects vary between developing health services, strengthening education, and supporting infrastructure in various areas. The committee also focuses on following up on the implementation of projects in all areas, while emphasizing the need for these areas to receive the required support to create sustainable development opportunities. This initiative is an important step towards improving the social and economic conditions of the most needy families in the Nador region. In conclusion, the committee expects that these projects will have a significant impact on improving the quality of life in the region, especially in vulnerable areas, and that they will achieve the desired development goals in the long run.
