The Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, the official government spokesperson, Mostafa Baytas, revealed on Thursday that the number of financial positions created in the education sector between 2021 and 2025 reached 90,000 positions.
Baytas highlighted, during a press conference following the weekly meeting of the Government Council, that the capabilities mobilized for the benefit of human resources are important, including the activation of a general increase in wages amounting to 1,500 dirhams net, benefiting about 330,000 employees, with a financial impact of 9 billion dirhams. He added that the government also integrated 115,000 workers in the national education sector into the public service, with the adoption of the basic salary system, and retroactive promotion, at a cost of approximately 2.4 billion dirhams. The minister noted that "the social state cannot be achieved in the absence of a clear vision for education reform, which made the government approve a major reform, which concerns in particular the human resource," recalling a package of measures that have been taken to achieve a deep reform of the system, especially the establishment of pioneering schools, and reviewing various issues related to reform, whether programs, curricula or others. In response to a question about the National Forum for Teachers, Baytas said that the forum, which started yesterday, represents a very important stage, through which the government aims, in cooperation with its partners, to express thanks and gratitude to teachers as they are the basis and core of the educational equation, for the great efforts they are making in the service of education and the youth.
