HIBAPRESS – Yassir El-Ihyai: A long path and ongoing investigations are underway by the judicial police in Seville to determine the real reasons behind the attempted murder by pouring a burning substance on the body of a Moroccan woman in her home at the beginning of February.
The incident, which captured the attention of Spanish public opinion and the media, ultimately led to the arrest of the Moroccan husband and two other individuals whose involvement in the case was proven. They are hired killers of non-Moroccan nationality who carried out the plan at the instigation of the husband – according to investigations and reports by the Spanish media. The details of this heinous crime go back to the beginning of last February when emergency services in the Andalusian capital received a phone call in which a Moroccan woman in her thirties was screaming for help after suffering third-degree burns that affected 50% of her body by a flammable substance. She was rushed to the university hospital, where she is still under strict precautionary guard to ensure her safety from another murder attempt. And, like the press statements made by the family to the Spanish media, HIBAPRESS had another share of them, during which the victim's brother stressed that justice had taken its natural course and arrested the three suspects after standing on tangible evidence documented by surveillance cameras spread in the streets, which monitored the direction of the perpetrators towards the victim's house followed by the husband who planned the murder attempt, and although the latter remained sticking to his denial of a possible relationship between him and the perpetrators, who were only users with the husband and he had a working relationship with them. According to the family's statement, the victim's condition is stable and she is recovering, as she recently testified to the judicial police, revealing several clues related to the crime and its circumstances, while the victim's family insists that the plan aimed at killing on the one hand and benefiting from a special insurance as compensation for the husband for the death of his wife and the burning of the house. It should be noted that the victim is the mother of three minor children, and the judiciary ordered their temporary attachment to the wife's family until she leaves the hospital, and the penalties awaiting the perpetrators may range between 20 and 40 years due to the duality of the crime, represented in the attempted murder of the mother on the one hand and the presence of an infant who is seven months old who was in another room, and divine destiny wanted him to escape the attempt without any significant damage.
