HIBAPRESS – Agencies
US President Donald Trump said on Monday that "the United States is holding serious talks with a new and more moderate regime to end our military operations in Iran".
In a post on the "Truth Social" platform, Trump added: "Great progress has been made, but if an agreement is not reached soon for any reason, which is likely, and if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened immediately, we will conclude our presence in Iran by blowing up all power stations, oil wells, Kharg Island, and perhaps all water desalination plants, which we have intentionally left untouched so far." He continued: "This will be in retaliation for our soldiers and others who were slaughtered and killed by Iran during the 'reign of terror' that lasted 47 years under the previous regime".
