Activist "Free Facebook user" Amin Al-Munir announced, on his page, the presence of oil inside a water well in the douar of Ahssinat, belonging to the command of Bahhara Oulad Ayad in the Kenitra region.
According to what the speaker published, the incident occurred during the drilling of a well, where a pump (bomba) was used to extract a liquid that he described as "semi-refined" and has a strong smell similar to fuel. He added that the operation took place in the presence of a number of the douar residents, and he also indicated the presence of elements from the Royal Gendarmerie in Sidi Mohamed Lahmar, confirming that the liquid was tested and some machinery was operated with it, including a pump and an agricultural tractor. The same source also reported that this is not the first time such phenomena have been recorded, citing a previous incident in the Talouine region in the Taroudant region, where, according to him, gaseous water was found coming naturally from a well with a depth of approximately 120 meters. In contrast, a number of followers reacted to these claims with a certain degree of skepticism, considering that the most logical explanation may be related to the leakage of petroleum materials from a nearby source or the presence of an old tank buried underground, especially since the operation of the pump may have contributed to drawing these materials to the surface of the well. As of this hour, no official body has issued a detailed clarification regarding the nature of the discovered liquid, which leaves the door open to interpretations.
