A joint committee of the Shishaoua province, supported by the local authorities, intervened yesterday morning in the center of Mjaghat to address the imbalances in the pricing of transport via large taxis, following an official complaint filed by a young man from the region against price violations.
The field committee observed a state of chaos in the fare of the "Marrakech-Mjaghat" line, where some drivers had illegally increased the price by 5 dirhams, which required immediate action by the authorities, who obliged the professionals to return to the original fare under penalty of sanctions. The local authorities reminded the drivers that their continued benefit from state support for fuel imposes on them morally and legally not to affect the purchasing power of citizens, especially in light of the current economic conditions. Users of this vital line welcomed this rapid attention, considering that the committee's presence on the scene restored respect for the law and put an end to the "arbitrariness" in determining the price of tickets that drain the pockets of the residents.
