The General Directorate of Meteorology expects, for Friday, that the weather will generally be characterized by the descent of thundery rain showers with the possibility of hail in the Rif, the west of the Mediterranean coast, the northern and central Atlantic plains, the High and Middle Atlas Mountains and their adjacent western regions, and the Eastern Region.
Rain or showers, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are also expected in Souss, the Anti-Atlas, and the northwest of the Kingdom's desert provinces, with some snowfall on the peaks of the High Atlas. Strong to somewhat strong wind gusts are also expected in the Eastern Region, the Atlas, and the desert provinces. Minimum temperatures will range between minus 5 and 00 degrees Celsius, and between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius in the Eastern Region and locally in the southern provinces, while they will be between 06 and 12 degrees Celsius in the rest of the regions. As for daytime temperatures, they will rise in the northern Atlantic plains, the Mediterranean coast, and the Eastern Region. The sea will be slightly choppy to rough on the Mediterranean coast and the Strait of Gibraltar, between Cap Spartel and Mehdia, and between Tarfaya and Laayoune, and rough to very rough on the rest of the coasts.
