In a scene reflecting security firmness and continuous mobilization to combat organized crime, the Deputy Public Prosecutor supervised, this morning, in the Beni Yakhlef area, the destruction of large quantities of drugs, in the presence of a mixed committee including elements of the Royal Gendarmerie and the Customs Administration.
The operation, which took place amid a tight security alert, involved burning large shipments that were seized in previous operations, with the destroyed quantities reaching: 3 tons and 700 kilograms of hashish, 1 ton and 700 kilograms of Indian hemp (kif), 129 grams of cocaine, and 15 liters of "Mahia" liquor. This operation falls within the framework of implementing the strict instructions of the Public Prosecution, aimed at destroying seizures related to drug cases, in accordance with the applicable legal procedures, while ensuring transparency and accurate tracking of the various stages. This step also reflects the continuous efforts of the security services in drying up the sources of illegal drug trafficking and confronting criminal networks that are active in this field, to protect the health and safety of citizens. This operation confirms once again the high alert and the tight coordination between the various security agencies, within the framework of a comprehensive national strategy to combat drugs and enhance public security.
