While the Wali of the Marrakech-Safi region, Al-Khatib El Hebil, is mobilizing to combat the occupation of public domain and to end all forms of arbitrariness and violation of the law, this is being done through intensive field movements and strict directives issued to the authorities, urging them to firmly and forcefully address the phenomenon of public domain occupation.
However, the head of the Al-Bahia administrative annex refused to abide by the instructions of the Wali of the region and opened the door to rampant chaos witnessed in the Salam "Mellah" district in particular, as the owners of commercial stores encroached on the public road, displaying their goods outside the shops, which obstructs traffic and opens the way for criminal elements who practice theft among tourists and Moroccan citizens. What is happening and taking place within the corridors and alleys of the Salam "Mellah" district requires urgent intervention by the representative of the authority, who is supposed to wake up from his slumber and roll up his sleeves and go down to the field where the phenomenon of public domain occupation has worsened and has become the distinctive mark of the "Barans" passage in the heart of Jamaa El-Fna square, which presents a bad image of the Red City and undermines the tremendous efforts that the Wali of the region has been making since his appointment to combat the phenomenon of public domain occupation.
