The National Initiative for Human Development in the M'diq-Fnideq prefecture continues to organize a series of awareness and communication meetings and workshops, from April 6, 2026, to May 6, as part of the national campaign to raise awareness of the importance of healthy nutrition for pregnant women, under the slogan: "By caring for the pregnant woman's nutrition, she maintains her health and the health of her fetus."
These activities are part of efforts to raise awareness of the importance of balanced nutrition during pregnancy, as it has a direct impact on the health of the mother and the growth of the fetus, in addition to reducing potential health complications during pregnancy and after childbirth.
These workshops are organized in partnership with the territorial health zone in the M'diq-Fnideq prefecture, the National Union of Moroccan Women in M'diq-Fnideq, and the Moroccan League for Child Protection. They provide an opportunity to provide health information to pregnant women and raise their awareness of the need to regularly follow up on pregnancy, with a focus on the fundamentals of healthy nutrition in the various stages of pregnancy.
The campaign also aims to promote healthy eating behaviors, and encourage regular medical follow-up, ensuring the healthy development of the fetus and protecting the mother's health from any potential complications, as well as supporting nutritional balance during the postpartum period and the period of breastfeeding, especially in the first months of the infant's life.
More than 300 women benefited during the first week of this campaign, which included various health centers in the M'diq-Fnideq prefecture, where they were trained through awareness workshops, in addition to the distribution of health materials aimed at supporting the health of the mother and child.
