HIBAPRESS – Abdelatif Elbaz
As part of efforts to bring consular services closer to members of the Moroccan community abroad, the General Consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco in Valencia organized a mobile consulate in Villarreal, for the benefit of citizens residing in this region and its surroundings.

This process enabled the provision of a range of essential administrative services, including the issuance of good conduct certificates, passports, and electronic national identity cards, as well as providing legal consultations and guidance on various consular services, in an organizational atmosphere characterized by ease and efficiency.
This initiative falls within the Consulate's strategy aimed at strengthening the policy of proximity and improving services, in line with the aspirations of Moroccans around the world and meeting their increasing needs, especially in simplifying administrative procedures and reducing waiting times.

In this context, Mr. Said El Idrissi El Bouzidi, explained in an exclusive statement to HIBAPRESS, that the organization of mobile consulates represents an effective mechanism for bringing consular services closer to members of the community in their places of residence. He emphasized that these initiatives are witnessing increasing demand and are widely acclaimed, as they avoid the hardship and costs of travel, as well as enabling beneficiaries to complete their consular transactions during the weekend, without the need to take time off from work or school.
He also pointed out that the General Consulate adopts an annual program that includes organizing open days and mobile consulates in Alicante on the last Saturday of each month, in addition to organizing them on some Sundays in the province of Castellón, depending on the availability of reception spaces, with the aim of establishing a more citizen-oriented administration that is closer to the concerns of the community.
This mobile consulate was well-received by the beneficiaries, who praised the good organization and the quality of the services provided, considering it a practical initiative that saves time and effort and strengthens the ties between Moroccans abroad and their national institutions.
