The file of the disappearance of a bus belonging to the Inezgane commune has returned to the circle of discussion again, in light of renewed demands from employees and agents for the need to open an investigation to clarify the circumstances of its disappearance and reveal its fate, after years of ambiguity surrounding the issue.
According to circulating data, the bus, which had been placed at the disposal of the Social Affairs Association for employees and agents of the commune since 2012, within the framework of a partnership agreement aimed at supporting social, cultural and sports activities, is no longer appearing at the commune's depot, and the use of its services has been discontinued for a long time. The same data indicates that a number of employees had previously corresponded with the regional authorities on the matter, where an official response issued in 2022 stated that the bus had been deposited at an auto repair shop in the Akhlij area of Tikouine, in order to subject it to technical repairs that included some parts and repainting. The authorities also called at the time for the acceleration of the completion of the works and the return of the bus to service. However, the current facts, according to identical sources, indicate the continued absence of the bus to this day, without any tangible development being recorded regarding its return or clarification of its situation, despite the sending of subsequent reminder letters that did not receive, according to those concerned, any official response. In parallel, some local circles are circulating unconfirmed data regarding the possibility of exploiting the bus outside the framework specified for it, which raises questions about the extent to which the controls for managing and using public property are respected, as well as the effectiveness of the monitoring and tracking mechanisms within the community. This file opens a wider discussion about the governance of managing community resources, especially in light of the community's connection to financial obligations in favor of the Social Affairs Association, including annual support for social activities and solidarity projects. In the face of this situation, voices are rising demanding a transparent administrative and legal investigation to determine responsibilities and arrange penalties, if necessary, in addition to working to recover the bus or reveal its fate clearly. Observers believe that addressing such files remains contingent on strengthening the principles of good governance and linking responsibility with accountability, in a way that guarantees the protection of public funds and preserves citizens' trust in the management of local affairs.
