The Amsterdam-Oost city hall hosted a special gathering on the evening of Sunday, April 19th, to mark the 35th anniversary of the founding of the Friendship Association, in an atmosphere marked by a sense of belonging and connection between members of the community and various components of society.
Under the supervision of the association's president, Ahmed Al-Masri, the evening's program began with a well-organized event that reflected a long experience in community work. The program was distinguished by the diversity of its segments, including moving words, artistic and musical performances that highlighted the association's path in serving the values of solidarity and coexistence within Dutch society. The musical performances were a prominent moment during the ceremony, where the artists succeeded in creating an interactive atmosphere that transported the audience between the authenticity of heritage and the spirit of the present. During the evening, a number of artists were also honored with certificates of appreciation from the organization's administration for the event, in recognition of their contribution to the success of this event and the enhancement of the presence of culture and art within society, including Mohsen Al-Haddad from the Al-Salsabil group, Idriss Imran Shakara, and Diva Hana Zeidan, along with other artists. Outside the framework of the performances, the attendees experienced another experience that was no less important, as the aromas of traditional Moroccan dishes spread throughout the hall, headed by meat with prunes, which is one of the most prominent dishes presented on major occasions, which gave the ceremony a festive character that reflects generosity and the depth of cultural identity. The evening's segments continued at an accelerating pace, reaching their peak with the musical performances that united the audience in a collective moment in which feelings of joy mixed with human closeness in an image that reflected the true meaning of living together. This event was not just a celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the Friendship Association, but formed a clear message about the importance of teamwork and its role in building a cohesive society capable of preserving its human values and strengthening the spirit of solidarity among its members, which the association has succeeded in establishing for more than three decades.
