HIBAPRESS – Casablanca
The Al-Mohammadi district, under the jurisdiction of Ain Sebaa security, witnessed a dangerous security alert after security elements of the Darb Moulay Cherif district, supported by the motorcycle squad and elements of the judicial police, were forced to intervene urgently to stop a person who was in an advanced state of agitation and was carrying a large sword, where he deliberately obstructed the passage of passersby and spread terror among the residents.
According to the available data, the suspect did not just threaten citizens, but also accosted a driver of a light car and put his life in danger in a dangerous scene that almost developed into a bad outcome, before the security elements intervened quickly and professionally under the direct supervision of the Ain Sebaa security district command. The suspect tried to escape after going up to his family's home, and also inflicted deliberate wounds on his neck in an attempt to impede the security intervention, and even tried to jump from the window to thwart the arrest, but the vigilance of the security elements and their good management of the situation enabled them to control the situation without resorting to the use of the functional weapon. Despite the attempts of some of his family members, including women, to disrupt the security intervention and obstruct the arrest process, the security elements were able to tighten their control over the suspect and prevent his escape, in an intervention that eyewitnesses described as well-executed and dangerous, given the sensitivity of the situation and the danger that the person concerned posed to the safety of citizens. The detainee was transferred to the Mohammed V Hospital to receive the necessary treatment under security guard, before being subjected to a judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, to reveal all the circumstances of the case related to the possession of a white weapon and threatening the security and safety of passersby and endangering their lives.
