The regional office of the Independent Union of Nurses and Health Technicians in the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region announced the organization of a protest rally on Saturday, September 12th, in front of the Directorate of the Territorial Health Group, in protest against what it described as a "policy of silence and neglect" towards the professional and administrative situation of newly appointed nurses and health technicians at the University Hospital in Laayoune.
The union explained that the rally will start at half past eleven in the morning, considering it the first step in a protest program it announced, after urgent correspondence it sent to the Directorate of the Territorial Health Group demanding the resolution of the situation of the concerned cadres, without receiving, according to it, the expected response.
The regional office considered that the continuation of the current situation reflects on the stability of employees, their rights, and their professional situation, holding the Directorate of the Territorial Health Group responsible for the current state of affairs, and calling on the concerned nurses, health technicians, and employees to participate in the rally, while emphasizing the continuation of the protest until the demands are met and the professional and administrative situation of those concerned is resolved.
