HIBAPRESS – Al Hoceima
The city of Al Hoceima and its surroundings are witnessing extensive security movements, as part of a qualitative operation targeting the fight against drug trafficking networks and the pursuit of suspects linked to this criminal activity.
This operation comes in conjunction with the field visit of Mohamed Eddakhissi, Director of Judicial Police at the General Directorate of National Security and Director of the Interpol Office in Morocco, to the city of Al Hoceima, where a number of officials and cadres from the central judicial police services have begun intensive security movements in the region.
According to the circulating data, the security operations have resulted in the arrest of dozens of individuals suspected of involvement in cases related to the promotion and trafficking of drugs, while investigations and inquiries continue to determine the remaining potential extensions of these networks, and to monitor supply sources and distribution routes.
These movements reflect the security services tightening their grip on drug traffickers of all kinds, especially in light of growing local demands to strengthen security campaigns and confront networks that target youth and contribute to the spread of alarming criminal and social phenomena.
The ongoing investigations are expected to reveal additional data on the nature of these networks and the volume of their activity, while the competent services continue their operations in coordination between the various security and judicial agencies.
