HIBAPRESS – Khalil Fezazi
In the context of efforts to address the constraints facing the drinking water supply system in Boujdour province, the provincial governor, Ibrahim Ben Ibrahim, accompanied by the Secretary-General of the province, Mubarak Ait Esco, led a field tour with a regional technical committee to assess the difficulties affecting the stability of this service.
The tour included representatives from the Regional Company for Multi-Services and the National Office for Electricity and Drinking Water. The assessments focused on the technical aspects related to the supply system, while exploring possible measures and procedures to overcome shortcomings and ensure the continuity of drinking water provision to the population.
In parallel, the expansion of the seawater desalination plant in Boujdour is highlighted as one of the strategic projects proposed to enhance the water resources of the province. The increase in its production capacity is expected to contribute to improving the system's ability to respond to the growing demand for this vital commodity.
These movements reflect a direction towards combining technical treatment of current constraints with the acceleration of structural projects, with the aim of strengthening water infrastructure and improving the sustainability of supply services.
The main challenge remains to translate these measures into practical solutions that ensure regular drinking water supply, while accelerating the completion of programmed projects to meet the growing needs of the province's population.
