Security services at the Bab Sebta crossing managed to seize 74.4 kilograms of hashish during a search of a Peugeot 3008 car, driven by a 31-year-old French citizen of Algerian origin.
The search operation resulted in the discovery of the quantity of drugs tightly hidden within the car's floor and lower parts, in an attempt to camouflage them and avoid detection during border control procedures.
The suspect was handed over to the anti-drug unit of the Tetouan judicial police for further investigation and to uncover all the circumstances of this case, under the supervision of the competent public prosecution.
Investigations are expected to include identifying the source of the seized shipment and its intended destination, as well as verifying the possibility of other extensions related to this case, as part of the ongoing judicial investigation.
