The Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie participated in the annual summit of the International Organization of Military Gendarmeries and Police Forces "FIEP" held in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, with the participation of officials and leaders from a number of security and military agencies belonging to the organization.
The Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie was represented in these meetings by Abd Al-Rahman Lotfi, Divisional General, in his capacity as Deputy Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, in the presence of a number of generals from the Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie. This was within the framework of discussions and bilateral meetings with a number of security officials, including the Commander of the UAE National Guard, Major General Saleh Mohammed bin Majren Al-Ameri, in the context of efforts to enhance cooperation and partnership between the security institutions of member states.
These meetings focused on ways to develop cooperation in security, operational, and training fields, exchange of successful professional expertise and experiences, as well as developing training and qualification systems, enhancing institutional coordination, and benefiting from modern technologies to confront evolving security challenges, including cross-border threats.
The participation of the Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie in these international forums is of special importance, given the role played by the institution in maintaining public order, protecting persons and property, and enforcing the law, as well as its engagement in international cooperation and the exchange of expertise with peer security institutions.
The Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie has been a member of the "FIEP" organization since 1998, which reflects the extent of its international professional relations and its keenness to keep pace with the transformations in the security field by developing capabilities, enhancing readiness, and opening up to successful international experiences.
This participation affirms the importance of multilateral security cooperation as a fundamental pillar for confronting contemporary challenges and strengthening partnerships between security agencies, serving the security and stability of nations, and enhancing the protection of citizens and the preservation of national gains.
The participation of the Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie in this summit received wide praise from a number of Moroccan citizens, who appreciated the international presence of the institution and its contribution to enhancing security cooperation and exchanging expertise among participating countries.
In the same context, the General Secretariat of the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights and Combating Corruption, represented by its Secretary-General Mr. Nabil Wazzai, expressed its praise for this participation, considering it a positive step that reflects the importance of Moroccan presence in international security forums, and highlights the status of the Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie and its role in strengthening international security cooperation, serving security and stability and protecting citizens' rights and the nation's achievements.
