HIBAPRESS – Abdel Latif Baraka
A person died today, Saturday, October 24th, following a serious traffic accident witnessed in Admine forest, adjacent to Agadir airport, in the Kffifat commune. This occurred after being run over by a four-wheel-drive "quad" bike driven by a foreign tourist, who was part of a group of tourists coming from the Ourir zone, north of Agadir.
According to available information, the tourist was driving the quad bike, which he owned, before colliding with a person on a motorcycle, resulting in the latter's death.
The circumstances that led to the collision have not yet been fully clarified, nor has confirmed data been provided regarding the precise timing of the accident or the speed at which the two vehicles were traveling.
The incident raises questions about the route taken by the tourist group to reach Admine forest, considering that the distance between it and Ourir exceeds 50 kilometers, in addition to the conditions for using quad bikes within forest trails and the extent of adherence to safety rules.
The causes of the accident and the surrounding circumstances, along with the determination of legal responsibilities, remain contingent on what the inspections and investigations conducted by the competent authorities will reveal, pending further details about this tragic incident.
