HIBAPRESS – Sla
Exclusive sources have revealed to HIBAPRESS new details regarding the death of two children from the same family from diphtheria (throat disease), in the Sidi Abdellah area, specifically in the Al-Fath neighborhood of the city of Sla.
According to the same sources, the family in question consists of eight individuals. Two children from the family contracted the disease before passing away. The same information indicates that the two children had not received the basic vaccinations recommended for children since birth.
Upon detection of the cases, authorities and relevant health services intervened. The measures included vaccinating the remaining family members and those in their vicinity, as part of efforts to mitigate the risks of infection transmission.
The affected individuals were also transferred to several health institutions, including the Children's Hospital in Rabat, the health center in Tabriqet, and Moulay Abdellah Hospital in the city of Sla. This was done for medical observation and to monitor their health status until their well-being is confirmed according to necessary medical evaluations.
