HIBAPRESS – Abdel Latif Baraka
A classified hotel unit is experiencing a state of administrative alarm, following the detection of financial irregularities suspected of being linked to the management of revenues from several of the establishment's facilities, with initial estimates indicating amounts reaching millions of dirhams.
According to circulating information, a central committee has begun auditing accounts and financial transactions, aiming to determine the nature of potential irregularities and the extent of the amounts involved, with suspicions of the involvement of officials within the establishment. Following this, it was decided to temporarily suspend the hotel unit's director and another official, pending the completion of the internal investigation and the determination of responsibilities.
The case is expected to be referred to the competent judicial authorities after the completion of auditing operations, in order to uncover all circumstances and to establish the necessary legal consequences, if applicable. Pending the emergence of official results, the facts remain under suspicion and are subject to verification, without this implying the establishment of any criminal liability against the individuals concerned.
