Heba Press: Oujda
On the morning of Tuesday, September 24, Algerian authorities handed over another batch of young men to the Jog Beghal border post in Oujda, along with Colonel Lotfi Mughniyeh.
According to a report by the Moroccan Association for Aid to Migrants in Difficult Situations in Oujda, the operation was carried out by handing over 17 young Moroccan men detained and imprisoned after serving their sentences in Algerian prisons. and in contact with those released after their passage through the border post and I communicated with many others among the young immigrants coming from several cities: Fez (3), Bouarfa (1), Oujda (3), Berkane (1), Taza (. 2), Guercif (1), Sefrou (1), Nador (1), Settat (1) and Benjarir (1).
As previously reported, the report adds, among them are those who have spent more than three years and six months in prison, in addition to a year in administrative detention,
The association is closely following many cases on this subject, so that several hundred young people are still in administrative detention awaiting expulsion, a process which has already been hampered by several technical and procedural difficulties.
The association is also trying, according to the same report, to call for a resolution of the problem. It seems that the Algerian and Moroccan parties, through the three consulates in Algiers, Oran and Tlemcen, are working hard to expel the rest of the two parties. In addition, many are in pretrial detention and on trial, with more than 400 files and several cases (06) bodies, including two bodies of girls from the Eastern region, whose families are waiting to be released and received. like the rest of the organizations with which the association previously worked to facilitate judicial and administrative measures.
As a reminder, the association had previously corresponded with Algerian and Moroccan actors, including the President of the Algerian Republic, as well as with several ministries, in addition to the Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation and the National Council for Human Rights in Morocco. and held several meetings concerning these files with the International Committee of the International Red Cross and several parties.
The case having experienced many complications, especially after the breakdown of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the occasion of the association’s participation in the international workshop of September 11, organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross in Rabat, was an opportunity to -present the case of detainees, detainees, missing persons and deceased candidates for immigration through immigration channels, and call for pleading in the case. The association hopes that this approach, like its predecessors, will also be a step of real relief and relief. the return of all detainees, detainees, and prisoners candidates for immigration to Algeria to their families and families … and the remains of the deceased are returned to their families. And detect all missing persons.
The Moroccan Association for Aid to Migrants in Difficult Situations confirms:
– She will spare no effort to denounce these mafias and brokers who trade in family dramas and exploit the psychological and social conditions in which they live, and that she will take all legal measures to follow up and demand the opening of investigations into this case. and to prosecute these mafias and brokers, and that she works hard, voluntarily and for free, and according to her limited capacities, to accompany the families and plead their cause to know the fate of the missing persons and release them. detainees and prisoners who are candidates for immigration to Algerian, Libyan and Tunisian territory.
