As part of the projects accompanying Morocco’s hosting of the 2030 World Cup, the Casablanca-Rabat continental highway project is entering the construction phase.
In this regard, the National Road Company of Morocco has launched calls for tenders for the construction of the Casablanca-Rabat continental highway.
The new road will be built, with three lanes divided into 6 sections, represented by Section No. 1: Casablanca Ring Road – Oued El Maleh, Section No. 2: Oued El Maleh – Oued Nfifakh, Section No. 3: Oued Nfifakh – Oued El Ghbar, Segment No. 4: Oued Nfifakh – Wadi Al-Sharat, Section No. 5: Wadi Al-Sharat – Wadi Yakkum, Section No. 6: Wadi Yakkum, the main road.
The project, whose completion time is estimated at 30 months and should be completed in 2028, will include the construction of bridges crossing 7 valleys.
This new road will help relieve congestion on the current highway and the national road linking Rabat to Casablanca, particularly during holiday periods and events.
