The National Union of the Health Sector, under the umbrella of the National Union of Labor in Morocco, has condemned what it described as the "deplorable situation" experienced by the Higher Institute of Nursing Professions and Health Techniques in Kenitra, as a result of what it considered a "dangerous administrative vacuum" that has persisted for several months.
A statement issued by the local office of the union stated that the institute is experiencing "administrative and pedagogical paralysis" that threatens the normal progress of studies, the future of students, and the quality of training, pointing out that this situation has caused a delay in the start of the academic year, the disruption of recruitment competitions, and scientific and disciplinary committees, in addition to the non-payment of teachers' dues and the absence of the necessary educational and pedagogical guidance. The statement warned of the repercussions of the absence of a clear vision for organizing field training, considering that this negatively affects the quality of practical training for students, and thus the level of health services in the future. The union office demanded that the Ministry of Health and Social Protection urgently intervene to rectify the situation and ensure the normal functioning of the institution, while calling for a serious and responsible dialogue with social partners. The union concluded its statement by hinting at taking escalating protest steps if its demands continue to be ignored, affirming its commitment to defending the rights of training and administrative frameworks and preserving the quality of public health training.
