HIBAPRESS – Rabat
The House of Representatives ratified draft law No. 71.24 amending and supplementing Law No. 15.95 related to the Trade Code, which was presented by Abdelatif Wehbe in a new legislative step aimed at adapting the national legal framework to the transformations in the commercial and financial field.
This project comes within the framework of Morocco's strategic orientations aimed at modernizing the legal and legislative environment regulating financial and commercial transactions, in line with the rapid development of payment methods, and enhancing confidence and legal security in transactions between various economic actors. The draft law focuses in particular on addressing the issue of issuing checks without sufficient funds, which continues to worry society, especially investors, due to the negative economic and social effects it causes that affect all stakeholders, as the new text aims to achieve a better balance between deterrence and protection, and to encourage the business and investment climate.
