HIBAPRESS – Abdellatif Baraka
The Royal Gendarmerie elements in the Kerdan territorial center, affiliated with the Taroudant brigade, managed to arrest a person suspected of being involved in the theft of bicycles, following a meticulous tracking operation that began after monitoring a video documenting a theft in front of a mosque in the Al-Dakhla 2 district.
According to preliminary data, the Royal Gendarmerie services began their investigations immediately after the video was circulated, where field and technical investigations enabled the identification and tracking of the suspect, before he was arrested while in a "pickup" car. Investigations launched by the security services revealed that the person in question is suspected of being involved in a series of similar thefts that targeted bicycles in a number of mosques in both Taroudant and Oulad Teima, which suggests that he adopted the same method in carrying out these criminal acts. This operation falls within the framework of the continuous efforts exerted by the Royal Gendarmerie services to enhance security vigilance and combat various manifestations of crime, especially thefts that target citizens' property. The Royal Gendarmerie services also continue to intensify their field and preventive interventions in various areas under their territorial jurisdiction, within the framework of a security strategy aimed at reducing criminal phenomena, including drug trafficking, and ensuring the enhancement of the sense of security among the population.
