HIBAPRESS – A. Latif Baraka
The Royal Gendarmerie elements in the territorial center of Al-Qallia, affiliated with the Inezgane brigade, have succeeded in delivering a qualitative security blow to networks trading in hallucinogenic pills, after dismantling a gang suspected of its activity at the level of Souss cities and provinces in promoting the drug "Karkoubi".
According to consistent data, field investigations and thorough research conducted by the Gendarmerie services resulted in identifying the identity of the network members, which initial data indicates that a nurse working in the city of Agadir leads it, where she is suspected of exploiting her position to facilitate the promotion of these prohibited substances. The operation resulted in the arrest of one of the main suspects' partners, with the seizure of significant quantities of hallucinogenic pills that were intended for promotion, in an operation that reflects the level of vigilance and follow-up adopted by the Gendarmerie services in confronting this type of crime. In a related context, the security services issued national search warrants for the rest of the individuals involved who managed to escape, while investigations are still ongoing to arrest them and reveal all the possible extensions of this network. The detainees have been placed under custody, at the disposal of the judicial investigation that is being conducted under the supervision of the competent Public Prosecution, pending the completion of the investigations and the presentation of all those involved before justice.
